The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has partnered with forensic genetic genealogy organization Othram in an attempt to identify a woman who was found in a shallow grave in Reno in 1997.
In June 1997, the remains of an unidentified woman were found buried under stones in a shallow grave in Reno.
Detectives estimated that the remains belonged to a Caucasian woman between thirty-five and forty-five years old. The woman was 5’2” in height and she had brown hair at the time of her death. Her weight and eye color could not be determined.
