Inside the little pink brick house on Francitas Drive, Ramiro and Rosalba Reyes built a family. Forty years of celebrations there – birthdays, baptisms, new jobs and new friends.

The first call to 911 came at 1:21 a.m. from a neighbor across the street:
DISPATCHER: Harris County 911… How can I help you?
CALLER: There is a lot of gunfire going on outside.
DISPATCHER: Okay, how many shots have you heard?
CALLER: How many shots have we heard? Probably 20, more than 20.
The caller’s voice cracked and panic set in.
CALLER: Someone needs to get out here quick. Something’s going on.
DISPATCHER: Okay, ma’am. We have several calls. Just stay calm. It’ll be okay, alright? We’ll get someone out there.
