To put a head shot on the guy then immediately chase the woman, and leave points to a sexually motivated crime. There doesn't appear to be any attempt at robbery, it was all about her. The report says one tire track left, which I took to mean a motorcycle? If that's the case, and the woman was half naked, it points to someone that lives nearby. Bc a half naked woman on a motorcycle is going to be noticeable AND it would be hard to control the victim & drive a motorcycle. But idk if they meant one car track or 1 track as in motorcycle.

I've also read a report of a Frank Martinez & his wife that were supposedly attacked at the same spot under very similar circumstances, but I have not been able to validate that occurrence. But with everything I've read, it seems most likely that someone that lived very close by did it.

I'd be curious to find out more about the father - son hunters that found them. And the guy who confessed under truth syrum. This guy committed a similar attack in New Orleans & had a purse in his car matching the description of Audreys missing purse. There doesn't seem to be much follow up information on this tho which is puzzling. My condolences to the family, it's very unfortunate but seems unlikely this will ever be solved.

This case still gives me the chills! Ms. Moate certainly didn't deserve what happened to her. All she wanted was love and it's such as shame her children had to be left behind. Acosta and Caronna sound like they were an evil and strange couple. I see Dekki passed away in 2019; I'm glad she was able to leave her DNA behind. Justice for this family. I'd love an update on Hotard's wife and children.

This is a very bizarre case. I'm surprised the police didn't didn't check Caronna and Acosta's home since it was nearby the swamp where the couple were found. I feel it was both Acosta and his common law wife who committed the murders. What's sad is Moate was related to Caronna in some way so how could she do something like that? I pray for her family, especially her daughter, who wanted answers. Such a terrible case and the police didn't investigate enough if you ask me. Hopefully the case will reopen. I'd also love to know what happened to Hotard's wife. That must've been devasting to lose a husband under such circumstances.
