This is so sad. For one... He left his wallet behind!!! Doesn't that counterdict the fact that he wanted to borrow money. Seems like if he was borrowing money he would have took his wallet with him. Also he had a friend johnny with him. At what point did Johnny and jeremy separate? Another question... If your 14 year old step son who does not physically live with you but is temporarily staying with you does not return for 2 days after he asked you to loan him money why wouldn't you call his mother and police right away?? I know my first priority would be to call the mother and the police.

Five hours later at 9:40 PM, Jeremy showed up at a local tavern owned by his grandmother. There he met his stepfather and asked to borrow some money. It was the last time Jeremy was ever seen by his family. Two days later, Diane arrived in Myrtle Point as planned. She went to pick up Jeremy at his stepfather’s house, but her son never showed up. His wallet, watch, and keys had been left behind.---- The Stepfather Killed him. It is too easy. He didn't LOAN him any money. ----
