CASE DETAILS

A digital created photo showing what Morgan Nick would look like as a teenager.

An age progressed photo of Morgan

On a July night in 1995, Colleen Nick of Alma, Arkansas, took her six-year-old daughter, Morgan, to a little league baseball game:

“We’d made the choice to go, just Morgan and I, just to have girls’ night out, and it was just such a warm, close, fun night.”

During the game, two local girls asked Morgan to play with them. Colleen at first said no, but Morgan pleaded with her mother:

“Finally, against my better judgment, I told her that she could go and play, and she threw her arms around my neck and gave me a big hug. We could see them very clearly, and the last time that I turned to look, Morgan was running back and forth playing.”

Three figures running away in the dark.

Morgan disappeared while playing with friends

But when the game ended, the two girls returned to the field without Morgan. They said they last saw her getting sand out of her shoes near a car. Colleen Nick:

“I went over to the car, looked around the outside of the car, opened the doors, looked inside the car, thinking she had gotten in. Even at one point, looked under the car, just thinking she has to be here somewhere. Within a couple of minutes, all of the people and most of the cars were gone and it was very clear that Morgan wasn’t there.”

A woman with short brown hair is seated and talking to a woman with long dark hair.

Colleen is a crusader for missing children

When one of the coaches questioned the two girls, they remembered seeing a man whom they described as “creepy” talking to Morgan out in the field. Police were called and arrived six minutes later. But they found no trace of Morgan. The media was alerted and flyers were posted. Weeks stretched into months, and finally years, with no sign of Morgan Nick. Colleen still has trouble coming to terms with the tragedy:

“It’s the worst terror that any parent can ever feel. There’s such a sense of it not being real, somehow. It does not seem possible that your child could be missing, that someone could have taken your child.”

Colleen turned her personal tragedy into a public crusade. She established the Morgan Nick Foundation, a non-profit organization that assists families with missing children.
The service Colleen provides has not detracted from her primary goal: to find her own daughter:

“I believe and I hope every single day that I get up, that today is the day that Morgan comes home. And every night when I go to bed and she’s not back yet, I know that I’m one day closer to getting her back.”

UPDATE: The Alma Police Department released photos of a truck that was seen at the ballpark that day. The truck, pictured to the left, remains unidentified. The police note the unique details of the truck and camper shell, such as the extended gap between the cab and camper, the window configuration on the camper, and the wrap around taillight. If you know who owned or operated this truck, please submit a tip here, or contact the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST.

What about the websleuth site that says bart hayes confessed to kidnapping and killing Morgan Nick! He also had a red truck that he had smashed right after this happened? The composite of him is a dead ringer to the man seen talking to Morgan that night I sent this info to her foundation , Stephanie House was the author of this information on facebook. Never heard back; is justice for Morgan wanted or to continue with a movement for money?!

Morgan probably went willingly with the man and he may have handed Morgan over to her adoptive parents she is happy and healthy she should have been with them in the first place he might have been paid to snatch morgan for her new family and she thanked him for taking her away from Colleen.

In the case details above, it mentions that when the “two girls returned”. There was a boy, Tyler, age 10 and a girl, Jessica, age 8 who were playing with Morgan. Sidebar questions, who were the two teams playing in The Little League game? Why hasn’t anyone else came forward who was at the ball field that night?

I remember 6 years ago, I was on Wilshire close to La Brea there is close a Staple. I remember seen a man with a Teenage girl. I was in my car waiting in Parking lot. I
saw this man with a teen similar to her. She looks tall and he is tall too. I remember
his face and it’s similar of this pic. She looks similar but more tiny. Was suspicious for
me the way he embrace her. When they left this store. He was with his arm around her.
Both looks with some uncomfortable tension. I wrote to FBI a few years ago, but nobody
answer. This Store is not exactly in that corner it is 3 or 4 blocks away from La Brea and
it is on Wilshire. California. I suspect they live close of this building.

That is sad for a girl to be stolen at a big place like that and definitely when it was a man who kidnapped her so that means she might be getting sexually abused right now

He kinda matches the composite from back then. Would it be worth it for the investigators to go the the Greene county jail and interview him? He should be easy enough to clear or add as a suspect.

    There is an active thread in the Arkansas Topix forum that has some interesting details and even names a couple of names;

“Brock? Jason Brock .. alread Arkansas crabtree??
His gfriend Stacy .. doesn’t know who she is or where she came from. Two people who went to school with Morgan. Live here now. They believe its her. But Stacy has had worst life. Made to have children at young age. Abused. Nothing in her life is true. They seclude her in the hills. A man named Bobby ezelle knows the truth. If Stacy isn’t Morgan Nick. Then maybe she can still get help. But we all know in our hearts its her. If her mother can find Jason Brock. Then hopefully DNA can b dun on Stacy. To find out. She remembers her mom’s car. And the man who took her she says had two different colored eyes. Was always told she was raised by her uncle. She has vague memories. Carries a paper with the first Morgan Nick missing flyer in her purse. People don’t want to say who she is bcuz her story is sad. She is addicted to drugs. But loves to get stuck in a clover patch looking for 4 leafs. She gets phones distroyed lap tops too. She is watched like a hawk. She is scared if she is Morgan someone might hurt her mother. And would rather her mother remember the lil girl not Stacy and all the sadness.”

I submitted in a Forensic College Class-program that I was working on a photo of a incarcerated man that matches the description of the composite photo, I hope it’s him. Justice for Morgan Nick and her family, this area is so close to Oklahoma (within miles) that it’s a possible place she could have been taken, it may turn out to be where she was taken across state lines-perhaps it will lead into an F.B.I. “Federal” case, from what it appears from my view.

I get she is in the bottom of Alabama, because the non custody parents, goes to Pensacola, on trips, hope this helps, but the kidnaper, lives 2 towns a way, and worked together/had bus. dealings, with the non custody parent in the past, this man introduced the 2, when they started seeing ea other, worked together/had bus. dealings. From what I gather from the story, you are on target for most every part of the story. The man lived about 2 towns from Alma (but is from another state), he has a prior history of kidnapping-restraint type situation, she may have been told lies or stories of being adopted, it is very like this man, and he was the manager of a “shop” near Alma, where apartments-workers did stay, and he did business there locally. I have turned the man in hope this helps, gave the name and photo of the man to Alma Police and F.B.I. and to the NCMEC, hope he is caught soon, I have no ideas of where Morgan is or anything about the victim.

I had a dream about Morgan Nick about two years ago. I dreamed that my husband and I were at a shell gas station right there in Alma & we were having problems with our tire, so we went to a tire shop next to the shell gas station. I had to use the bathroom while at the tire shop, so I went looking for a bathroom and I went way in the back of the shop and found some rooms like little apartments and I opened one of the doors and there were two young ladies in there, and one of the young ladies said she was Morgan Nick. This dream just seemed strange b/c I had never been to Alma until today while passing through going to Oklahoma, stopped at a gas station to use the bathroom, looked across the way & there sat a tire shop! That’s eerie! Maybe someone should check into it.
