What Happened to Johnny Lee Wilson?
In 1987, 20-year-old Johnny Lee Wilson pleaded no contest to murdering an elderly woman and setting her house on fire. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole. His mother insisted that Johnny was innocent and was home with her at the time of the murder.
In September of 1995, he was pardoned by the Governor and released from prison. The Governor had determined that police had “manipulated a weak mind” which led Johnny to confess to the murder of Pauline Martz.
Today Johnny Lee Wilson is 51, and lives in Aurora with his mother. No one else has been charged in the murder of Pauline Martz.

I grew up with Gary Wall, ,..they lived behind my house in Monett Mo in the late 70s, him, his brother Steve and older brother Johnny wall,(they also had a sister named Mary) Now I never met Johnny Wilson, but when I heard of Gary Walls Involvement the first thing I thought was,…if there was anyone in the area capable of committing a murder like what happened,….it was definitely Gary Wall,, him and his brothers were nothing but trouble growing up and it would not surprise me one iota if one day evidence were presented implicating Gary in this murder.

I am the nephew of Gary Wall he helped wrongly convict a very good man and for that I’m so sorry, my uncle Gary Wall he took his own life he passed away from suicide in November of 2019 I just want to help others so they are not wrongly convicted!
