Sorry for your loss. Many times the reason the person flees the scene is that they are drunk. If they are caught later…they can’t be charged with DUI. They can hire a lawyer and say it was an accident.

Blessings to you and your family. I hope you get the answers you seek. My husband was hit by a drunk who fled the scene… Luckily, he was caught and got 90 days (shameful) in jail. I truly hope you get better justice.
