A new major push to solve a 2003 cold case in Stanly County, North Carolina.
Gov. Josh Stein issued a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever killed 6-year-old Chance Smith.
Smith was reported missing on Dec. 13, 2003. Hours later, he was found in a pasture off Scout Road with a serious head injury and died at the hospital.
Locust police say Smith was murdered. His death is the only unsolved murder in the town.
