The Beaumont Police Department continues to seek justice for Roquisha Norman, a 22-year-old woman who was murdered 27 years ago, along with her unborn child. Despite the passage of time, her family remains haunted by the unsolved crime.
Kristian Norman, Roquisha’s eldest daughter, vividly recalls the day her mother failed to pick her up from school. “And I was the last kid at the school, waiting by the principal’s office, waiting for my mom to come get me,” she said. Upon returning home, she was met with the flashing red and blue lights of a crime scene. “I saw red and blue lights. Police lights,” Kristian said.
Roquisha Norman was found strangled and shot inside her home on Primrose on November 18, 1997, according to Haley Morrow, the public information officer for the Beaumont Police Department.
