The family of Deandra Clay-Staples thinks they know who’s responsible for the 14-year-old’s brutal killing.
The teen was shot twice in the head, had a broken hand, and was left in the snow overnight to be found the morning of Jan. 11, 2025. A trail of text messages and social media posts paints a picture of the teen’s final hours. An official autopsy leads the family to believe she fought for her life until the end.
And DNA underneath her fingernails is evidence that loved ones’ hope can bring an arrest in her case.
