Loretta Lynn was just 26 when her husband discovered her repeatedly stabbed on her bedroom floor. He had just returned home from a graveyard shift. The couple’s 7-month-old daughter was in her crib unharmed and nothing was stolen.
Mesa Police in 2022 submitted a DNA sample for processing as that technology had advanced to where suspects’ surnames could be extracted. What new leads police received on the case with the lab’s report is unclear.
