For over four decades, the family of Cathryn Tighe has been seeking answers about her mysterious death.
The 17-year-old Chaparral High School student was found dead in a Las Vegas desert area in 1983, a month after she went missing. Her childhood friend, who wishes to remain anonymous due to fear of the perpetrator, recalls Tighe as “kind” and someone who “would do anything for anyone.”
On Feb. 7, 1983, Tighe attended school with plans to meet a friend afterward, but she never returned home.
