Friday will mark the two-year anniversary since the shooting death of 27-year-old LaMichael Carter.
On April 12, 2022, Asheville police officers responded to reports of a shooting around 11:30 p.m. on the 300 block of Fairfax Avenue in a West Asheville neighborhood.
Upon arrival, officers found Carter shot to death in the roadway.
