Two years after Emerall Vaughn-Dahler and Ignacio Gutierrez-Morales were found shot to death inside the American Elm restaurant on Denver’s west side, their families are still waiting for answers and justice.
The double homicide happened in broad daylight on a busy street, but no arrests have been made. The Denver Police Department say the investigation remains open and active, but the case has yet to produce a suspect or a clear motive.
