Jacob’s Last Drive
31–year–old Jacob Cabinaw is weeks away from graduating from college, an active member of the Army National Guard, and a hands–on single father to two young boys when he suddenly disappears from his home in Traverse City, MI after a game of disc golf with some friends. Police follow his trail through several states until it ends in Sweetwater, TX, two days later, on April 2, 2010, where Jacob vanishes forever, along with his car and personal belongings. Jacob is a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippawa Indians, and a master mechanic, who friends and family say would never voluntarily walk away from his life and children. Twelve years later, Jacob’s disappearance remains a mystery, and his loved ones have more questions than answers. Why did he suddenly leave his home and family? Where was he going? What happened to him once he arrived in Texas, and what was he doing there in the first place?
